El Monte RV Rentals

This has to be one of the worst companies I have dealt with. I went with them because they are national and promote the use of the latest RV models. In that I hoped the chances for our vacation were not impacted by maintenance issues, that was not the case here. For a 4 day rental we went through 3 RV's with the last one having to be fixed (attempted) on-site at the beach. Front desk support/reservation was horrid, she was rude and left us stranded with the 3rd unit. As a result we cut our vacation returned the unit and demanded to speak to management which she had lied about them not being present. We received a refund of course due to their disgraceful performance but what good is that when you have to tell your kids everything is cancelled. We were advised this would be addressed, and of course it never was. They like to pretend they will do something as I'm sure they will with this review just to save face but they're all liars as I've experienced all the way up to the CEO who never responded. We had broken down units with water leaking into the living quarters and battery compartment, no water, broken down equipment, sharp nails sticking out of the kids bunk beds and the list goes on. We followed their service team's steps and they even forwarded the issues back to them but no one bothered. I'm glad we stayed local, had we done a long trip we would have been stranded with the rude support girl hanging up the phone on us without any help options.

Very pleased with the service - will book with El Monte again. We did 2 weeks in a largest C class variant with slide outs. For a group of 4 adults it was a perfect fit. Probably the best way to experience the great American outdoors. We had a few technical issues with power steering leaving us stranded on Walmart’s parking lot in Cedar City and that would be 3 stars but the way El Monte sorted that out including the replacement vehicle, bring it back to 5 stars thanks to stellar customer service (thanks to Andrea from LA office). Once you rent your RV, make sure to see Sequoia, Yosemite and Zion parks 👌🏼

We have just finished our first motorhome vacation and we could not be happier with our choice to rent from El Monte at Santa Fe Springs. Alonso was so patient with us from the outset when we needed to see all the RV door sizes to accommodate our disabled daughter. Picking up the RV was very straightforward and again, Alonso was a gem. He gave us great instructions and then answered all of our newbie questions and facilitated an otherwise stressful experience. Returning the vehicle after a week exploring the beautiful state of California was just as easy with Richard handling the inspection and return with a friendly and professional manner that just ended our whole experience on such a high note. Thanks so much El Monte! Can’t wait for our next motorhome rental holiday.

Very good service, all went smooth and quick. We had not been given a dump hose but we just had to phone and they said they would refund us if we bought one, and so they did. The vehicle functioned perfectly for the whole duration. It is powerful enough to go uphill and overtake on the motor way. When returning the vehicle, Nancy was very kind and helpful, explaining every aspect of the returning process. We recommend El Monte RV. Our road trip and everything has been great, from start to finish.
